Despite being saddled with a handicap of 4 minutes, 40 seconds at the start, Kenya’s Gilbert Okari was still able to catch the leading woman, Tetyana Hladyr of Ukraine, just past the 7-mile mark on the Great Highway to win the overall first prize of $25,000.
